My training as a
Bowen Therapist was undertaken with the
European College of Bowen Studies. This is one of the two major training schools in the United Kingdom and has undertaken many studies on the efficacy of The Bowen Technique.
I am also a member of the
Bowen Therapists' European Register which is an independent, professional association of Bowen Therapy practitioners. Members have to abide by a strict Code of Conduct and Ethics and are committed to continued professional development.
My training as a
Reflexologist was undertaken with the
British School of Reflexology founded by the world-famous Reflexologist, Ann Gillanders. I have also undertaken two of her advanced courses, titled 'Reflexology and the Intestinal Link' and 'Reflexology for Back Pain'. In June 2008 I also attended a two-day workshop run by Hanne Marquardt, probably the most well known and experienced Reflexologist in Europe today and author of 'Reflexotherapy of the Feet'.
I am also a member of the
Complementary Therapists' Association (part of Embody), a professional body representing multi-disciplined complementary therapists. Members are committed to continued professional development.
I am also an active member of the
Essex Reflexology Group, a non-profit making group of
Reflexologists who meet regularly to discuss developments in and share their knowledge of
Reflexology.
